Changuu Private Island Paradise hotel is located 5 km from Stone Town by Dhow fishing boat, on the Changuu Island also known as Prison Island. The complex consists of 15 cottages and the restored historical buildings The Prison Ruins and The Quarantine Area. Don´t expect modern facilities such as air condition. The island is home to giant Aldabra tortoises and has an area about 100.000 square meters, most of it covered with dense tropical forest. This little paradise of nature is perfect for a relaxing holiday with sunbathing on the white sandy beach, diving in the sea or swimming in the pool.
