3 nights in Sofia ♥️

We stayed for 3 nights in The Sofia Balkan Palace. We booked room 411 and it was spectacular. The room had a view of the city and the magnificent church.
The breakfast was huge. The reception staff were very friendly and polite.

Disappointed

We arrived at the hotel today, the room was only ready at four and a half instead of three, the floor was not clean and the room was nothing.

Some doubts

Definitely great location (full city center), but for quality and detail it looks more like a superior 4 star than a 5 star.
Small rooms, some with an annoying smell of smoke.
Discreet breakfast, disconcerting bar service: for a Bellini and an iced tea 20 minutes (we were alone...).
Far from the quality of the 5 most renowned stars.

Best location

Excellent location.house keeping is terrible. Shampoo is always empty,cleaning of the bathroom is under average,we are a couple in the room.and shower towels for one,not emptying the toilet bucket,and corridor entrance to our room is not clean.
Otherwise the hotel breakfast is wonderful and staff polite and would recommend staying at the hotel and should write in order for them to improve.

Excellent!

Beautiful hotel (ex palace) Amazing. Very clean, and very chic decorated. Very central and reasonably prices.
All the staff were very helpful. We would like to Thank Especially to : Dimitris, Charles, the doorman who tried to find a taxi for us, the bellboy, and İoanna at the bar who was excellent as well. Thank You‍♀️ Didem
