The Great George

I love this hotel this is our 2nd visit and on our return it felt like coming home. The location is great for shopping restaurants and bars only a few minutes walk. The hotel has a friendly atmosphere and is very welcoming. The rooms are clean with all amenities and great air conditioning. The breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice with Caroline keeping everything topped up!
The evening meals are lovely if you fancy staying in with Joanna at the bar providing entertainment and making sure your glass won’t be empty. They have a barbecue every Friday with tastes of Greece. The pool and bathing area is great and plenty of room
The hotel is away from noice and is very good for money. I will be returning cos I love the place

Fabulous hotel

Just back from a 10 day stay at this absolutely lovely hotel. The staff are so friendly and professional. There’s a lovely pool and grassed area with loungers ( plenty to go round). The pool has steps into the shallow end plus a ladder into the deep end. Our room (222) was bright and airy and we paid the extra for air conditioning (very much needed!). There’s a hairdryer but it’s a wall mounted one in the bathroom so take your own. A dressing table and chair with a mirror (with plug sockets close by) was great for getting ready, Plenty of storage space. Our room had a terrace at the front with a table and chairs plus a balcony at the back. Everywhere is very clean, you can see the owners and staff take great pride in their hotel.
Breakfast was great with plenty of choice.
Very conveniently situated, just a short stroll away from the port, bars and restaurants.
We had a fabulous time and wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this lovely hotel. Thanks for a great holiday!

Everything about this hotel was fabulous, the staff were so kind and our daughter loved the pool. We liked it so much we ended up back at the hotel for an extra night. Looking forward to.xoming back next year

Fantastic, clean and friendly hotel in a great location in the cozy Nidri

Fantastic hotel and very good location in the cozy town of Nidri. The spacious layout in terms of tables by the terraces and therefore also the breakfast and the cots (enough!) by the pool make this hotel relaxed and cozy Mood. The rooms are neat and clean and the staff is nice, helpful and welcoming.

Perfect hotel in a wonderfu lesser know Greek resort.

The George hotel is situated very slightly away from the main hub of Nidri harbour with all of it's wonderful Tavernas perfect for evening dinner. Despite it's close proximity the hotel possesses a very tranquil and relaxing atmosphere with beautiful gardens, a good pool, plenty of sunbeds, mountain views and a nice bar area.
In respect of the bar the two morning bar staff Caroline and Dunja are so friendly and welcoming and it was a pleasure meeting both of them.
The young deputy manager Martina is very helpful too.
I would definitely recommend Nidri as a destination and the George hotel as a favourable option whilst there.
Other than the beer €5 I did think the drink prices were a little high at the bar and I think maybe a happy hour would be a good idea. The bar was often empty later in the evening; nevertheless this has been a wonderful holiday.
