Arriving here despite me (after a fall in hiking), it was a nice surprise waiting for me! Welcoming is impeccable. The hosts are friendly, helpful, all in simplicity..
Excellent breakfast.
My stay was very pleasant, I almost forgot my injury. Thank you.

Hotel great

Excellent welcome. Family hotel. Spacious room. Clean. Parking. Good advice on the spot. Breakfast with homemade jam cakes and eggs of your choice. Tt excellent plus the kindness of mom and daughter tjs available. We recommend and we will come back.

Friendly, Clean & Cosy

Fantastic, very clean cosy guest house on the edge of Chatel village. Great friendly host. Great views, 10 minute (slight uphill) walk to the village centre and Gondola. There is a ski bus stop right outside and ski storage / drying room in the basement if needed. Breakfast was €14 pp and was worth it to start the day. We hired our ski stuff from Inter Sport at the Super Chatel gondola station (walk into the town and take the left before the Boulangerie) and we left it there at the end of each day so we didn’t have to carry it.
You can get your ski passes online and collect them with a QR code at the gondola station or tourist information in the centre.
There are a couple of takeaway pizza places as well if you don’t fancy eating out.
A great place to stay, about 1.5hr transfer from Geneva. Highly recommend.
Chatel is a lovely traditional French alpine village. Lots of places to eat, a few shops and two small supermarkets for essentials.

Stay too short

Having frequented the valley for almost 40 years, we have only one regret: not having stayed in this hotel sooner!
Charming welcome, attentive service, excellent “family” cuisine;
We find a hotel with a warm atmosphere that has become so rare today. In summary, if you have the chance, go for it!!!
