The best hostel in Cuenca
I had to cancel my reservations because of the strikes, I couldn't make it there and they were flexible to let me cancel. And finally I made it there, and I had the best rest there.
Very nice, warm and helpful owner and staffs!
Modern, new and well decorated building
Sofa area with tv, Netflix and a terrace.
Comfort bed and very clean room and bathroom.
The spacious kitchen and the dinning room is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. I enjoy cooking there every day.
Good wifi, good hot shower, free towel
Xavier and the staffs were really helpful to arrange a private car and contacted them for us to get out to Peru when there was no bus going. And
let me stay and use the facilities in the hostel after checking out.
And they let my other friends in other hostels to wait in the hostel with us before the private car arrive(Even told them that they can use the kitchen. How kind is that!)
The travelers in the hostel are all very friendly and respectful. Quiet at night.
The location is perfect right across Pumapungo museum. And walking distance to the centro.
No free breakfast but got discount for the cafe next door, which offers really good breakfast and brunch with reasonable price.
This is one of the best hostels during my trip in Latin America, and also very good price. I almost didn't want to leave because it was too nice there.
Highly recommended to stay in AlterNative when visiting Cuenca.
