Outstanding hotel in a sea of hotels
I have had the pleasure of staying at the Renaissance New York Flushing hotel dozens of times through my work. This hotel stands out as one of the best experiences and best run properties I have ever stayed at. Every stay is just exceptional. From the door staff at the bottom of the elevator to the check-in staff like Ada and Brigitte to the manager Rob there are no employees here that are not absolutely beyond reproach. It is apparent that whoever does the hiring and training here knows what the heck they're doing because the staff, top to bottom, is just exceptional.
The location is within a hidden gem of New York City with just the best restaurants. It is my absolute pleasure to write this review for people who are doing outstanding work every day. There are also many other check-in staff that are outstanding and I wish I could remember their names they deserve the upmost credit in the service they provide also.
Food at the hotel is also exceptional it's so hard to decide whether to eat at the hotel or venture out at the amazing places that are in town there you'll have to make that decision yourself.

Great location near subway and Citi Field. Found it odd that the room wasn't cleaned at all even after specifically requesting.

Stylish But Uneven Stay in Flushing
This is a visually striking new hotel connected to the Tangram mall, with easy access to great Asian restaurants, shops, and a Regal Cinemas. However, staying here requires some patience—check-in and rooms are only accessible via a two-elevator journey, which feels more like a transit system than a hotel lobby.
Rooms are modern but minimal, with clever space-saving choices (no closet, just a clothes rod) that feel more IKEA than Renaissance. I had a minor issue with the TV—it was resolved quickly, but without any acknowledgment or follow-up, which fits a broader theme: efficient service that’s low on warmth.
The front desk staff processed check-in with DMV-like precision, and as a Marriott Titanium member, I wasn’t offered any upgrade, amenity, or even a thank-you. There’s a club lounge, but it’s forgettable. Fortunately, the restaurant is exceptional—beautifully designed, upscale service, and one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Just note: you’ll be paying for it, elite status or not.
Overall, a solid choice if you’re flying through LGA or want to explore Flushing. As an airport hotel, it excels. As a city hotel, it’s still finding its identity.

Hotel was very nice but so weird and different. You have to go all the way up to the 12th floor to go down to your room via elevator.

Very good experience
Another enjoyable stay at this Rainessance location, Mr. Li provides much beyond his shuttle bus service, always so facilitating and taking good care of our family. Will definitely come back and use this hotel when we are back to New York City!
