Very nice family run hotel

Small but fine. Large terrace with great sea views. Clean and large room with air conditioning and refrigerator. Good breakfast .Owners are a very nice young family with baby. The place has a small mini market and a great promenade with bar for wave watching.

Functional hotel

Small functional structure in the small village of Jardim do Mar with 2-3 restaurants room with bathroom. very decent breakfast. efficient taxi service to the hotel. Fair price for room and breakfast.

Amazing suite

We stayed a few nights in their suite and it was great. The room was huge, as was the balcony for it. The facilities were great and the staff were friendly. The breakfast is at their restaurant and it was alright. Overall a great experience and if you can get their suite I strongly suggest you do that.

Pleasant, family-run guest house and restaurant

We stayed here, one of four very different selected hotels on a packaged guided walking tour of Madeira.
What we liked about it was the family-run nature. The couple were very friendly, and the man collected us in his taxi. The home-cooked style meal was a welcome change from the standard "black scabbard fish and chips" fare of some Madeiran hotels. Fantastic home-made soup, and lovely chicken casserole. Reasonably priced drinks and good coffee. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Nice to eat it with family and locals sipping coffee nearby.
To be sure, the room was basic, but adequate and, I'm sure, reasonably priced: air-con (thankfully), TV and compact shower-bathroom. Worth a stay if you know what to expect.
I'm delighted to be the first Anglophone reviewer of the place.

Il bel paesino di Jardim do Mar

Hotel a conduzione familiare, gestito da una coppia simpatica e disponibile. Camera molto grande e letto super comodo. Molto bella la vista dalla stanza. L'unico aspetto negativo della stanza è che essendo esposta al sole tutto il pomeriggio si scalda moltissimo. Essendoci andati il 1° aprile per una notte soltanto non abbiamo usufruito dell'aria condizionata. La colazione è un po' basica, ma nel complesso il giudizio è positivo. Invece abbiamo trovato ottima la cena. Veramente tutto buonissimo! Da apprezzare anche la possibilità di parcheggiare l'auto gratuitamente in strada molto facilmente. I posti a disposizione non mancano.
