Old and venerable, but not bad!
The room was very large, with lots of cupboards. The bathroom had everything a guest needs, from a hairdryer to a shaving kit with a comb to shampoo and shower gel. The shower worked perfectly and had a powerful jet and the temperature was very easy to regulate.
The breakfast offered a very large selection of Asian dishes. There were 2 different stations where you could put together a delicious soup with the help of the staff. But baguette, jam, cheese, cereal and fresh fruit were also available. There was also a special station where egg dishes were freshly prepared.
The only downside was the coffee; it was lukewarm and didn't taste good and the cups were tiny.

Good and nice hotel
Very clean, with all amenities. Safe and refrigerator are available. Nice and friendly staff. Also helpful with the suitcases and exchanging money. Free coffee and water in the room.

A classis Asian-style city-center hotel
This hotel is a classic Asian-style city-center hotel. Reminds me of my favorite hotel in Bangkok. Yes, it's a bit dated and could use a remodel or at least a coat of paint, but it has that old Asian charm, character, and generous use of wood, that you won't find in modern construction.
The room and bathroom were clean enough, and the bedding, pillows, linen, towels, etc. were fine. The air-conditioning, hot water and internet worked fine.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I had the hotel do a large load of laundry and it was reasonably priced.
There is ample parking for folks who self-drive.
I booked through Agoda from the hotel lobby as Agoda's price was slightly lower than the walk-in rate and I wanted to pay for the room by credit card. The price was around $30 USD per night.
