A gem of a hotel in Florence
Wow…what a lovely hotel
We picked this hotel, as I am an IHG Rewards member and do enjoy the indigo brand.
The location was 2-minute walk from the train station, which was handy, as we came in on train from Pisa.
On arrival, the aroma / essence had a lovely smell, the receptionist on check in, were quick and very attentive and explained all we needed to know and helped us out a few times during our stay.. just go to ask.
As we came in on a Friday evening, there was some live music playing, to we dropped our bags off and came down to the bar area and listened and enjoyed and beer and an Aperol spritz.
The bedroom was lovely and had a nice view out the back of the hotel, size was big enough and had all we needed.
We ate in the hotel for Breakfast and has an evening meal on two of the four nights we was there, and the food was outstanding, especially the Florentine steak, (or Bistecca alla Fiorentina). We has steak outside the hotel on another night, as was not as good as the hotels.
All the staff were fantastic, especially the breakfast host, who on the second day, remembered our names and what he had the day before, I love this, as shows they are paying attention to the guest.
The hotel is not right in the centre of Florence, but close enough to be able to walk in and its 10/15 minute to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, which was a nice walk down the Arno River
I would 100% recommend the hotel to anyone

Lovely hotel located 5 mins away from the train station. Rooms were clean, elegant and well equipped. Loved the small bar they provided. Had a small gym which has most of the usual equipment and a nice restaurant/bar at the ground floor. Best hotel so far from our trip to Italy!

Great experience
Amazing experience. Beautiful rooms, lobby, restaurant and amenities. The pool was great for swimming and relaxing in the hottest part of the day. Very close walk from the train station - great for tourists with baggage and without a car. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the Duomo and other primary tourist attractions.

Almost Great
We stayed for four nights on a recent trip to Florence. It was a modern hotel that we mostly enjoyed. The rooms were nice by Italian standards. The AC worked great which was a huge plus. The location is less than a five minute walk from the train station. It is in the opposite direction than the tourist areas which made is quieter. We really enjoyed our stay. Only two issues kept it from being a top notch experience. On our four night stay, housekeeping only gave us wash clothes on two of those days. I’m sure we could have called and they be sent right up, but sometimes, you just don’t feel like doing that at 10pm. We had one afternoon we had hoped to enjoy their pool with a light lunch and cocktails by the pool. Unfortunately, we could not get any service there despite there being service call buttons on the tables. We also tried the house phone to call in, but nobody answered. I had hoped from a great afternoon, but it didn’t materialize. I finally went inside where all the staff was looking at their phones. Sigh! I would definitely stay there again despite those flaws. It a good value for the area and definitely walking distance from train station.

mixed experience
The hotel is very centrally located for visiting Florence's old town. The rooms are nice and well decorated. Breakfast is alternating and it is permanently refilled. However, the breakfast room unfortunately has something of a canteen atmospherically. The service at reception is good, everyone is very friendly. However, the mishap happened to me that I left 2 pairs of shoes in a drawer. Even though I sent an email that same day asking for the shoes to be checked, I got the feedback that the shoes could not be found. That's not understandable. I'm assuming that when you leave a room, housekeeping cleans everywhere, including the drawers. If the shoes weren't found there, housekeeping does a bad job. Too bad and an expensive loss. They also did not apologize, we only got the answer that the shoes were not findable, although we asked several times to check. It's a pity, unfortunately, that made the good impression to nothing.
