Recommended for cleaning.
The hotel is clean. Room with double bed is spacious, as is the bathroom. I prefer mattresses for my taste are soft.
There is no charge for parking, check out is at 12!!!!
And they offer complimentary basic breakfast from 6 to 10.
I recommend the hotel.
One observation: the mini fridge had to be turned off because it was so loud.

Find another Hampton Inn
I stay at this Hampton inn when I visit my family living in Carlsbad. Happily, they allowed me to check in early because my flight from IAD arrived early. I was glad that I was at the end of the hallway on the 3rd floor. This seclusion afforded me a quiet and undisturbed stay. Upon arrival metering my room, there was a very usual smell. I was unable to locate where the smell emanated but I was able and have been able to diminish the smell with a few spritzes of perfume. I enjoy have the autonomy of a fridge and microwave and was pleased to see this room had one. I place my sodas and water in the fridge with some fresh berries. This fridge did not cool off. I adjusted the settings but it still did not cool. I have posted the pictures of the shower below. This is definitely subpar for Hampton inn and am not sure how I can get charged the same price as I have before for the use of this shower. I am definitely not pleased with this room. Breakfast was great as advertised and I enjoyed filling up for the day. Every morning, I had to wipe my table because the tables were not being cleaned between uses. That is not what I expect from a Hampton inn. I will continue to visit my family in Carlsbad but will have to try another location for my stay. I was very displeased the cleanliness of this location. Not upholding the brand of Hampton inns.

Awful stay
I always book with Hilton branded hotels out of personal preference. I am giving this hotel a 2 star rating Instead of 1 star because of its location, reasonable rates, and complementary parking.
We received free parking, however, the parking spaces are tiny so watch out if you have a larger vehicle as some people take up 2 spots to fit their vehicles so the spaces might run out at night. Something was wrong with the heater and air conditioner in our room and we had a choice of extreme heat or freezing temperatures, there was no happy medium. The door to the bathroom has a really bad design flaw and they should have invested in a barn door or have an inward opening door to the bathroom. You basically have to walk along the wall to close the bathroom door behind you to get to the other side of the room. We also noticed that the door has no stripping on it and you can see into the hallway at the bottom of the doorway! Lastly, the people at the front desk were unfriendly. We got to the hotel late and I was thankful that I did mobile check in with the Hilton honors app so that I did not have to interact with the person at the front desk. They look at you as if you don’t belong instead of a simple greeting. I am the one that said hello first. Sorry this is a Hampton Inn, not the Waldorf Astoria!

Wonderful Group Stay
We booked over 20 rooms for a choir competition in Oceanside. Tatiana Fossey and her team were super accommodating in setting up the reservation and helping with all of the details. Great stay and really appreciate the professionalism of the team!

Great trip. Our check in staff was excellent, can’t recommend this place more. Yes, private jets will be flying out at 7am, but we have little kids. We were already awake.
