Expensive and bad service

Asked for some water and they did refuse to serve it. 20 euros for 4 drinks and some croquettes.
Kids wanted some ice cream, but none was offered. No alternatives either.
The place has a good location by the Castle, but service and pricing was extremely disappointing.

Terrible food and poor service.

We went there for lunch and it was a real disappointment. The steak was hard as a rock, the waiter even brought us another knife as we couldn't get through the meat. We also ordered the "cochinillo"(little pig). It was dry and hard since it had been reheated several times and I think it was older than my dog Larry.
We barely saw our server and when we did see him he had a huge attitude like we were a big inconvenience.
These guys really need chef Ramsay to come around. Spare yourself an unpleasant grub.

Only reason to stay here is there is probably nowhere better nearby.

There is very little choice of accomodation if you want to stay in or around Arenas de San Pedro - and if you want a break from visiting the cities around Madrid it is an area worth visiting to walk etc. The accomodation was clean but basic. However there was no hot water in the morning, and whilst the restaurant was open for lunch it was closed for dinner which mid-week was surprising (and there was no warning of this). This turned out to be a virtue as we discovered Lo Sorpresa less than 100 meters away which was very good. The only option for breakfast was a very limited choice in the bar. I would not choose to stay here again, but after a reasonable search in guidebooks and websites there does not appear to be anywhere better nearby.

De vergüenza. Llegas y la puerta está cerrada, tienes que llamar a un teléfono y viene el dueño en moto para abrir. Pagamos y no tiene cambio, se lo queda. El ascensor, según indica, está en mantenimiento, llegamos un sábado. No nos ayuda con las maletas. Las habitaciones sucias. En uno de los baños, tenía tres tipos de azulejos. Los filos del plato de ducha, negros. El wc tenía la llave de agua cerrada, porque la cisterna perdía agua. Las sabanas estaban amarillas y los filos de las habitaciones con suciedad. El aire acondicionado parecía que se caía, lo habían puesto doblado y mejor apagarlo si quieres dormir, ya que parecía un avión despegando, por el ruido que hacía. Cuando nos marchamos no había nadie, tú dejas la llave en una caja de la recepción.

Nada más que entra lo que más te llama la atención es un ojo de luz que ay con las plantas abandonadas, le atiende una señora sin prese cia ni imagen ninguna, no piden dni ala hora de hacer la entrada cosa que están en la obligación de hacerlo. Nada más llegar ala habitación nos encontramos la puerta abierta y en una mesita una colilla sobre la mesa sin cenicero, las colchas de la cama con machas en tonos amarillentos, en el baño en la cisterna tenía pelos, en la habitación se dispone de 1 balcón y dos ventanas cuyas ventanas no se limpian en meses la dejadez del sitio es palpable. Cuando llamamos para comunicar lo que hemos visto en la habitación no recibimos una respuesta hasta los 30 minutos después , contando que tuvimos que llamar a varios número y no respondían. Conclusion para el sitio que esta ubicado el hotel es una lástima que esté dirigido por personas que no están cualificadas para hacer este tipo de trabajo. Ahh y ala hora de cenar no pisen el patio de chus .
