The hotel staff were fantastic, and customer service was excellent. Additionally, the hotel's location is perfect. However, the room carpet was stained and needed cleaning.

Great hotel and world class STAFF !!
We stayed with the family for the second time for one night at the Mercure Hotel Freiburg to go to the Europapark the next day. As always, the approach was very pleasant, as you can park directly in the parking garage in front of the door with direct access. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the old town and the nearby green area. Rooms are very good with comfortable beds and clean wet room. The breakfast is top quality and the service very nice. We noticed in the evening that the daughter had left her cuddly toy in the room, whereupon we called the hotel and walked by, unfortunately the cuddly toy was no longer findable, but we were promised that we would get a phone in case it was accidentally delivered to the laundry with the linen. We did not expect to see the stuffed toy again and my daughter was very sad. Totally unexpectedly, the reception of the hotel contacted us and let us know that the stuffed toy had appeared and it would be sent to us in Switzerland against Porto. We were overjoyed and most positively surprised by this great, empathetic and also extremely customer-friendly Service from Mr Felipe Alecci and the reception team. Thank you very much! We would like to thank you all for your extraordinary efforts in finding the cuddly toy. We know that these things probably happen almost every day and yet you did everything humanly possible to get us back in possession of the stuffed animal. We are simply thrilled and impressed by this Service and the attitude of the team. We highly recommend the hotel and look forward to the next visit. In the meantime, we'll send the best karma to the whole team!

Well located, but uncomfortable and with bad breakfast
The hotel is well located, close to the center and about 15 minutes walk from the train station.
The small, poorly ventilated room is impossible to open the windows, the glass in the room gets too hot with the sun. The air conditioning is scarce.
The duvets are small and too thick for summer, considering the heat that accumulates the room. Dwarf and uncomfortable pillows.
The curtains do not prevent the entrance of light in the morning so that dawn the room is flooded with light, and wakes you up.
It has carpet in the rooms, which needs a change and considering that pets are allowed in the rooms I think it makes a proper cleaning very difficult.
The closet is ridiculously small, with an insufficient number of hangers and no suitable hangers for hanging pants.
The room has space occupied by a shelf that serves no purpose, when it could be occupied by some kind of furniture to be able to place clothes, shoes...
Breakfast is the worst I've ever tasted at a hotel in the accor chain. There is no variation of veggis products, a mini bowl with carrot, cucumber, radish and cherry tomato, which when they run out remove and do not replenish. Depending on the day there are variations of bread and other days, no. Poorly cooked mushrooms and tomato. There's no bread toaster. The packaged juice. Some of the fruit on display is garnish: limes, lemons, ginger, melons and whole pineapples. Of sweet products there are only a few small croissants and a few pancakes that when they run out take time to replenish.
There are products that when sold out do not replace. Very poor value for money and the price of breakfast a hold-up.
The correct reception staff, some with little empathy if you do not express yourself correctly in English.

Great location, but through the dirty carpets everywhere I wouldn't go back
Location great, carpet in the room and on the corridors very dirty !!!! These should urgently get out, it is not hygienic ! Windows were also very dirty, even a window goes to tilt, in the heat very bad, even no air conditioning. Unfortunately also no minibar/fridge in the room. Bath very good. Breakfast at Sams highly recommended!

In der Tat wurden vor geraumer Zeit unsere Minibars in den Zimmern abgeschafft. An der Rezeption besteht die Möglichkeit etwas kühl zu lagern oder Getränke käuflich zu erwerben.
Alle Zimmer sind mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Die Fenster lassen sich aus Sicherheitsgründen lediglich kippen. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine gesetzliche Vorgabe.
Wir hoffen sehr, Sie bei Ihrem nächsten Aufenthalt von uns zu überzeugen.

Great room in a very central location. Didn’t eat in the hotel as we wanted to explore. Parking available underneath hotel at cost.
