Loved this boutique hotel in downtown Victoria. Close to everything. Walked from seaplane terminal in harbour.

Did not live up to expectations

Picked the Rialto based on Tripadvisor reviews, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations.
We decided to treat ourselves and book a Superior King Suite. While the suite was spacious and comfortable, the view was certainly not - a breeze block wall on one side and another room a few feet across an internal well on the other. While well appointed, It was a shame the suite didn’t have an iron on ironing board.
The Palms, Inspired Kitchen & Cocktails was the highlight, but it’s not directly associated to the hotel you can’t charge anything to your room. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and in the bar.
Another highlight was the housekeeping staff, who were an absolute delight - attentive, friendly and courteous. The front desk staff could learn a lot from them. After we checked in and over the 3 days we were there, there was little to no acknowledge as we came and went - not even a glance up from whatever was so fascinating on the phone.
While well situated to explore Victoria, and the smaller boutique style property we prefer, we will look for other hotel options on our next visit.

Not a great room but great location

We got the small est room of this hotel Room 404 decent bathroom size with a nice makeup mirror . I was happy to find robes until further inspection I find holes in them see photos ! Really !!!! Is it because we used air miles ? They give us the worst room !!
Parking is far away from the hotel .
I do however like the shampoo and shower gel !
The staffs are nice but no help with bags .
I will not return or recommend this hotel to my friends.

I am happy to read you enjoyed the amenities and size of the bathroom. Our parking is kitty-corner from the hotel - directly across the street, although you do need to do a loop to go from our hotel entrance on Pandora to the parkade entry by car. On foot it is approximately 50m away. It is not acceptable that your robes were in disrepair, and we will address this immediately and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I do hope that we get another opportunity to welcome you back and demonstrate the kind of hospitality we have become know for. Thank you for your feedback.

The hotel Rialto was in a perfect location(one night they filmed a scene for a Hallmark movie outside the hotel). we were able to walk to all points of interest. We did the junior king suite and loved the amount of room we had. If we have the chance to come back to Victoria we will definitely stay here again!
