Excelent hotel, good location, can't beat the price.

If you want to stay downtown Manajus, this is the place to go. US$ 25 for a double room with excellent breakfast can't beat any place.
Decent English speaking reception and room service will take care of you and won't bother you to do one of those creepy jungle tours, what you might suffer in other hotels downtown.
Not to forget the view on the city with the Negro river and the genererator, that keeps your room cool even on one of those steadily power failures in Manajus

Basic Rooms.

I stayed here a week and I enjoyed it. It's close to the manaus port and the historic centre.
The rooms here are basic but nice. The wifi signal is strong, and there is airconditioning in all the rooms. The included breakfast is good too.

Worn down hotel

We stayed at this hotel before a cruise trip on the Amazon. The hotel is situated near the harbor (10 minutes walk with luggage), in a dark and not very nice street. It's pretty worn down and definitely not a good deal. Very poor wifi and poor breakfast.
We walked to the square where the Amazon theatre is, which was fine during daylight, but was recommended to take a taxi back, which was very cheap.
The square is very nice with good restaurants and a lively audience.
We won't stay here again, but rather in one of the better hotels in town, for the same price

Tired hotel but ok for a night

The receptionist didn't speak English but we managed to communicate ok. The rooms were sparse, our second room at the end of the trip on the ground floor better than that on the 2nd.
The lift seems frequently out of order. The Wi-Fi works periodically, better in the mornings.
One of the twin beds was very hard and the other newer and softer.
The hotel seemed reasonably clean, towels and a bar of soap provided in a plastic bag.
Our room cost 150 Rials per night. Breakfast was included and had some bland food and other tasty pastries.
Overall ok for a night or two but no longer

Budget hotel

I stayed here during World Cup 2014. The rooms are small. They need renovation. Some we're being renovated then. The breakfast was descent and homely. We never missed it. For this rate and being close to ( not so close ) amazons it was indeed a good take.
We were out for couple of days for amazon tour so didn't mind. But if you are going for a leisure trip and mean to stay at hotel for longer times, I would suggest spending some more bucks...
