It seems the poor reviews are related to people wanting to cancel the booking and then experiencing difficulties. I'm here now, and have left a very good rating as the apartment is as shown in the photos, and so what we expected, but mainly the rating reflects David who checked us in, what a lovely bloke, and when we couldn't find a duvet cover for my son he brought two blankets up.

Non-Refunded 600€ – Horrible Experience at StaysPro - GORGEOUS Hollywood Living Los Angeles
Booked for June 3-7, 2025, but canceled on Feb 19, 2025 (Booking ID: 4961545093). I’m still waiting for my 600€ refund as of May 4, 2025—almost 3 months later! I provided proof of my closed CitiBank account on April 22 and new bank details on March 31, but the hotel and Booking.com have ignored my follow-ups (March 31, April 23) and my April 28 deadline. I’ve had to file complaints with ECC Germany, Verbraucherzentrale, and BBB, and escalate to Booking.com’s management. This is unacceptable and violates EU refund laws. Avoid this place at all costs!

Please be AWARE of this company when you are booking your property!! Please read this before you book whether it’s through Booking.com or any other platform!!
I reserved this “Buy Now Pay Later” of the StaysPro Hollywood Living Los Angeles apartment through Booking.com. A few days later I noticed that a total of £1.549.72 which is $2,070.35 was taken out of my credit card account WITHOUT my permission. So I cancelled the property immediately and sent them several emails to refund me immediately (it was free cancellation until a certain point).
Well, that was a month ago. No responses to emails, no money. I have raised a dispute with Booking.com and am going through a chargeback claim with my credit card providers at the same time. PLEASE read the other reviews on Trip Advisor, there are many people with the exact same situation as me.
The latest update up to this point is that Booking.com has finally got through to them via phone but now the property is saying that they are going to partially refund me, and they will contact me about the rest of the funds, which is a similar story to the other Trip Advisor reviews. This company is clearly using this as a method to grow and invest. Please be aware, you have been warned!

DON'T BOOK. Your credit card will be charged immediately.
DON'T book this property even booking term is free cancellation and pay on arrival.
The property will charge to your credit card immediately after booking. Then it will very very long time to get the refund even if you made lot of effort to contact the property. May be not even refund by defult if you do not chase. This is very tiring.
Clearly the property take benefit of charge immediately but delaying refund to get cash benefit on short term investment, eg. interest. etc.
