Hidden Gem at Daan Park! Definitely will revisit next time!
Those hotels that I preferred are way too pricey due to their location at ximending. I am glad that I found this hidden gem hotel from Google Map. The metro train is just next to it. 7 eleven convenience store is just right below of it. Not to forget the lovely couple who ran a small breakfast shop which opposite this hotel! Selling hearty local breakfast! Stayed in a family room which accommodate a family of four. Room With bath tub, refillable Taiwanese snacks, beverages in fridge are all included. The FOC laundry room is definitely a plus point! Will definitely come back next time

Great experience
We had a great time here. They even upgraded our room for free. The room was complete with amenities and everything was working. The breakfast buffet was also amazing. Not to mention the location is very accessible via train. There's also 2 nearby Youbike stations in its vicinity

A great hotel in Taipei...
The Dandy hotel in Taipei was so great! the rooms were great....the food was great,...the location was great... the free snacks were great...everyone behind the counter was great! I so look forward to coming again on my next trip to Taiwan!

Is this legitimate ?
1.Only 1lift, waiting time is way too long.
2.Wifi is one of the worst among Taiwan hotels I have experienced. Can't make voice/video calls through WhatsApp/WeChat.
3. Renovation during weekend (to be fair, we were notified upon check in and expected the noise. ), strong super glue smell at 9am on may 18th , which ruined the plan and caused us to check out early . I am still feeling dizzy and throwing up now.
Not sure Abt the local regulations, but renovation on weekend is weird , woke up with chemical smells is simply worse.

Please allow me to outline the remedial steps already in motion:
Elevator concerns – The issue has been escalated to our Engineering Department, and our elevator contractor has carried out maintenance and recalibration to ensure smoother, faster operation. In addition, we have adjusted construction schedules and elevator dispatching to shorten wait times.
Construction-disturbance controls – We are reinforcing soundproofing, dust barriers, and odor-control measures, while improving guest communications so you remain fully informed of any work that might affect your comfort.
Wi-Fi upgrade – As part of the renovation, we are replacing our entire network with dedicated fiber-optic service. Every guest room is now equipped with a newly installed white in-room router to deliver a strong, direct signal. Multiple floor-level tests confirm a stable, high-speed connection that eliminates the dropouts and lags you experienced.
We deeply regret failing to deliver the seamless, comfortable stay you deserve. Your forthright feedback is invaluable and guides us as we refine every detail during this transition.
The renovation is scheduled for completion early next year, and we earnestly hope you will allow us the opportunity to host you again once the transformation is finished. Should you choose to return, please contact me directly—I will personally oversee your reservation and ensure every aspect of your stay meets the highest standard.

Just dandy for Daan
My wife and I loved Daan for its park and its shopping precinct, and the Dandy Hotel Park Branch was a great place to stay. Our room had a great view of the park and it was easy to walk to the park and shops. Even the 7/11 on the corner was handy. Staff were most helpful, the room and particularly the bed were wonderful. Really good that the breakfast menu had some western food options. We didn't get that in other places we stayed in Taipei.
