Excellent location, stylish hotel and friendly hotel staff

An incredible stay at Atocha hotel. The staff there are very friendly and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable during your stay.
The location is fantastic and walking distance to many attractions. Rooms are beautifully decorated and designed, and the balconies are a very cool bonus. It was difficult to leave!

Great but “big brand” feel

Top notch everything - maybe only downside is it has the big brand feel throughout - but that’s what you get with Hilton
Big comfy room, excellent check in check out experience, walkable from train station even with bags

Great stay!

Well designed, modern hotel not far from Atocha Station. Our room was large, comfortable, scrupulously clean, and very quiet. Breakfast buffet provided plenty of good quality options, as well as friendly service. We were only here for one night, but would love to have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Good Location

This was a great location for us, as we arrived by train, and the hotel is a quick walk from the station. It's also very close to the Prado Museum and the Sofia Reina, as well as Retiro Park. A little further walk gets you to Plaza Mayor, Sol, and Gran Via. There are many quality restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.
The lobby of the hotel is accessed via 10-12 steps up from the street level, which is a little inconvenient if you're not able to manage the stairs with luggage. Lobby personnel, I'm sure, would be happy to help, but they are not manning the door all the time. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations. I'd like to give a special thank you to Mario and Alba.
The breakfast buffet was just so-so. Some of the food, like the quiche, was served at room temperature, and the food was not very appealing to me, although they did have great fresh fruit. They didn't inform us that cooked eggs were an option, but when we asked, they were happy to oblige. Jerry, the breakfast manager, and his assistant, Germy (sp?) worked hard to see that everyone was taken care of.
Our room was immaculate -- kudos to the housekeeping staff -- and had a very comfortable bed. The shower was great with good water pressure and nice quality large towels. However, the lighting in the bathroom was pretty dim, and there were only two small wall hooks for towels. A towel bar under the sinks and some stronger lighting would make a huge difference. Also, the toilet paper (brown, really?) and tissues were not the best quality.

Excellent stay

We had a really good experience staying two nights at this hotel. Location was great as we were leaving by train from Atocha. The hotel helped arrange transport from the airport on arrival (25-30 minutes). In general the staff could not have been more helpful, and every interaction was positive. Our room was very nice with everything we needed, including a steamer. Breakfast was good, and we had one meal at the restaurant which was good though the choices were somewhat limited. We had no issues with noise - it is in a large city. We would certainly recommend this hotel and use again when we are in town.
