Dirty room and bad customer service
I felt that the employee in the lobby reception was rude. She offered 200 Kr in return, because of the inconvenience of the dirty room. The way she looked at our family, and talked to us was rude.
We needed up talking to the manager and agreed to get 50% off the dirty room. It’s OK. We appreciate the effort to make us, the costumers, happy.
However, the experience with the receptionist was not great.

Feel free to come here again
First stay for us, feel free to come again as this is close to the hospital.
The room was quite ok, slightly soft beds, and a bit noisy if you are close to the street. Tv and mini fridge were nice to have. Large nice bathroom. Very good breakfast buffet on the first floor. At reception there was a kiosk, plenty of space to sit and watch TV if you want a bigger one than the one in the room.

A Unique Hotel Experience
St Olavs as stated does appear to be an extension of the hospital. There appeared to be more patients than guests which gave a strange feeling to the place.
That said the rooms and hotel very clean. Staff very professional and friendly. THe evening meal finished at 5pm which seemed a little early. Breakfast 7am so didn't impact on the day. The choice on offer very good. Highly recommend the hotel would stay here again.

Expensive hospital hotel
Linked to the hospital area, but run by the Norlandia Chain, you get a bit of a hospital feel, but clean and light room. However, NOK 1.700,- is a bit steep for one night.
You can do better. (however, sells out fast in Trondheim)
