very friendly capital, most People are relaxed and helpful, there are not much intresting buildings but a nice atmosphere to spend sone days, Osh Bazaar is very intresting,
Kyrgyzstan's capital city Bishkek is an interesting and diverse place. There are many international restaurants, Soviet Union memorabilia, local markets, and large shopping malls. It's where the adventure to Kyrgyzstan starts.
Perhaps the most pleasant of the Central Asian capitals, Bishkek is a Soviet-developed small city of tree-lined boulevards and parks. There are some cultural events, museums, monuments, and markets but the best stuff in Kyrgyzstan is out in the countryside.
I was pleasantly surprised when I landed in Bishkek. My goal in Kyrgyzstan was to get right into the wild and stay in all the yurts along the way; but I decided to give a day or two of that up to see Bishkek. This adorable capital is easy to explore, with it's very walkable city centre, a ton of museums, cute souvenir shops and a few nice cafes and restaurants to lounge in when the evening comes or if you decide to rest for an afternoon. I had a spa day and spent the sunset watching the locals hang around Ala-Too Square. Be sure to get there for the changing of the guards as well. What a great city!
