Suite Accommodation

Once a winery, Suite Accommodations dates back to the 1800s and offers rustic accommodations, free parking and a large garden with swimming pool, 5.6 mi north of Lucca. All air-conditioned, rooms here come with antique furniture, stone walls and wood-beamed ceilings. They also feature free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and countryside views. Guests of Suite Accommodations have use of all facilities at a partner hotel, where check-in takes place and where breakfast is served. Suite Accommodations is 15 minutes' drive from Lucca center and 8.7 mi from the A11 motorway. Viareggio on the Tuscan coast is a 40-minute drive away.

A Beautiful Gem in Tuscany

We just loved this place. Its position on a hillside that overlooks tuscany was just stunning. The rooms are very sweet and tastefully done. You can walk across to the castello (about 20 min) which is so scenic and beautiful. My husband and I felt like we were the only ones out there and it was just so romantic. Its a really nice sunset walk :)
It is about a 20 minute drive to the town of Lucca, so if you're looking to be around a lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance this is not your place. Although I don't know many people who would travel to tuscany to be around all of that in the first place, as the countryside is so beautiful.
I feel badly for forgetting the woman at the front desk's name, but she was one of the sweetest, most accommodating people I had met in Italy. She truly cared about the quality of our stay, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. We arrived when the restaurant was closed and we were starving, so she went to the kitchen and personally made us a lovely meat and cheese plate with a bottle of wine. GREAT hospitality.
This place was one of the highlights of our trip in Italy, and we would absolutely come back. I wish we had stayed for longer!

Just one night

Nice and clean place... but bathroom without bidet (we are in Italy!) and more seriously the windows were sealed, you could not open!!! Normal breakfast but 700 meters , in another structure! Small parking with road to get there very steep!

Tuscan Chic

Rooms are large and tastefully decorated and the communal areas quirky.
This accommodation forms part of three in the area (Castello and Volpi) and features only three rooms. Therefore the pool is very small but very private as we were the only guests at the time.
Reception is based at Villa Volpi so prepare for a bit of a trek back down if you're staying here (and back up for breakfast and dinner).
Beds were comfortable and the fancy bathrooms feature an actual bath, the first we have seen in several places we have stayed in Tuscany.
Great location for experiencing the lovely Lucca but also the Tuscan countryside.

Beautiful buildings, lovely location BUT BUT BUT there is nothing to make you want to stay around the place.Firstly disappointment - Nice small pool with 6 loungers but there were 14+ people there that day and absolutely nowhere else to sit in the gardens or by the pool. Can use Villa Volpi's pool apparently but its not the same. Dreadful coffee , at nearby Villa Volpi, from a flask you had to pay extra for a "real". Appalling especially for Villa Volpi guests. Check in was a shambles, pleasant garderner but we had to wait more than 10 mins for "the boss" to turn up, we then understandably had to wait for another party to book in and to go to SA. Despite knowing that we were there first he showed the others around first. 30 mins to check in....life's too short!!! On leaving after 2 day stay we weren't asked what we thought of place.Spent 8 days touring Tuscany and this was the only place I have anything bad to say about. Give it a body swerve and the sister hotel

Due giorni relax

arriviamo mercoledì nel primo pomeriggio: il navigatore ci porta all’hotel Volpi e non capiamo il perché .. presto detto: il receptionist ci spiega che alloggeremo in una depandance a circa 1km di auto (strada collinare in salita/discesa) da lì. Ci spiega che volendo anche vicino alla nostra stanza c’è la piscina, che purtroppo, anche per sua ammissione in seguito, era impraticabile tanto sporca.
Posto molto carino, ma scomodo (essendo incinta facevo fatica a fare gli spostamenti a piedi tra la nostra stanza e il resto della struttura, quindi abbiamo preso l’auto 4/5 volte per venire in piscina, a cena, a colazione, a pagare...).
Ristorante molto carino con una bella terrazza, ma purtroppo cucina scarsa e prezzi eccessivi per quel che offre.
