The perfect stay:)
Stayed for one night, could have stayed all week. Great staff great facilities great location and great beer. 5/5. Close to city center and great restaurants. And by the reception there is a bar, that gave os free chips with salsa and olives!

Here's to more hostels like this!
One of the best hospitality experiences I've had in a long time. Marathon surprises with everything it offers. Very Genoese gastronomy with super affordable prices and good music. It is located in an area that boasts top brands and is strategically 500 meters from the city center. Built under a historic bridge, with different levels of neighborhoods the area is surreal to the eyes.
The room is very comfortable and well ventilated. It has different community spaces for different activities and a functional kitchen. As an extra, it has laundry service and gym.
What stands out the most is the service of the entire staff, from the manager to the cleaning team, who have been very friendly and helpful.
I strongly recommend this hostel and hope to stay again!

D.O.C. stay in the center of Genoa
Central location near a metro stop, very kind and helpful staff, clean and well soundproofed rooms, no TV in the room, but given the times it is obsolete and not needed. Downstairs they have a pub with excellent beers and a very nice restaurant.

Perfect for low budget traveling (sporters)
Very friendly service and welcome. Clean rooms WITH air conditioning. Separate beds with curtain per bed for extra privacy. Outlets per bed with different inputs (USB, Italian outlet and other outlets).
Everything clear and good international breakfast. After check out I could store my suitcase (material) in the hostel for free until 10pm.
Also there is a kitchen on the 1st floor where you can cook or eat your own food, fridge to store food and drinks.
Fitness with air conditioning was great: powerlifting equipment (FINALLY!). A fitness like this you find rare in hotel and certainly in hostels (in my experience). Plenty of equipment: I myself did an extensive full body workout and trained all my muscle groups + cardio. Even after check out (11am) I was allowed to use fitness room WITH separate shower at gym with hot and nice cold water. I could also charge my smartphone while exercising. Power outlets so present in fitness. Fitness equipment is outdated and a bit rusty or stiff, BUT it works. For full fitness experience you should just go to a real gym.
At hotel you can buy some more useful things at low price like: earplugs, toothpaste, paste, pesto, condoms ;)

Very bad expierence! Would not recommend at the moment due to key system issues.
A bad experience. Stayed here for 3 days and every day there were major problems with their locking system for the rooms. These are of course things that can happen and I understand that. However, it greatly affected my stay, as I constantly had to think about whether I could get into my room later. In addition, I was forced to coordinate with roomies about 1 key, which was a manual solution when the locking system does not work. Again - I understand that it can happen, because mistakes happen everywhere. One night when the electricity went out in the whole place, I was locked out for over an hour after I had actually gone to bed - but just had to go to the toilet. It took an enormous amount of time to get a key, even though I asked several times. I expected a better handling of the problem and therefore I hope that the staff will refund the money for my stay. In general, it's hard not to be dissatisfied when every day of my stay there were major problems with access to my room, which is a free space in a hostel. In other words, I in no way got what I paid for. Otherwise, I think it's a super nice place, nice staff, cosy facilities and nice rooms
