Lovely atrium

The hotel has a lovely place to drink a coffee in the atrium on the back side of the hotel. if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy a good coffee or a drink then this is the place you are looking for. In the centre of Heraklion and still quiet is unique!

Excellent Service

We stayed at the Dimargio for a week. Outstanding service all week by the front desk, restaurant and housekeeping staffs. The front desk staff in particular bent over backwards to help when I needed a doctor and a dentist. The doctor and the dentist were excellent and solved my problems. In addition to finding a doctor and dentist, the front desk found and booked excellent restaurants for us. They arranged hotel is spotless - we loved the hot tub.

Very good, new, modern, welcoming hotel in the center of Heraklion.

New, modern, medium size 5 star hotel in the heart of the old town of Heraklion (on a pedestrian street) and very close to its sights and the port with the castle. I asked and they gave us the best room on the 5th floor (nr.502) with a terrace and a nice view of the tomb and the bellboards of the church of Agios Minas (the bell bells often on weekends and wakes you up). The room and bathroom not very large but with amenities. First time I went to a 5 star, even newly built, and no air conditioning sounds. The breakfast is excellent with local dishes. What characterizes Dimargio is the interest, courtesy and service of all staff. I was there on my birthday and they surprised me with cake and candle. I want to express my thanks again to the girls and unreservedly recommend a stay in Dimargio to anyone who wants to visit Heraklion. It is not the most beautiful city of Crete, but it is worth a visit only to see the archaeological site of Knossos, which is impressive (near the city by taxi or by Red bus), as well as to visit the archaeological Museum of Heraklion, with a plethora of finds from all over Crete and especially with the amazing murals (notographs) from Knossos exhibited on the 1st floor of the Museum.

We had stayed there the week before as well and had a wonderful time on both stays. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the central shopping area, but on a quiet street without a lot of noise. The staff was exceptionally helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, comfortable and the bed and pillows were very nice. The breakfast was very good. In my last review I actually did not realize that there was a nice fitness center and a restaurant area. My fault for giving this hotel all the credit it deserves. This is a wonderful hotel and I recommend it.

A nice small hotel

It is centrally located, looks nice, has very kind staff, it is a small hotel with small rooms. The room was quiet and the curtains were covering the window well. The breakfast was very nice with a great variety to choose from. No traditional filter coffee was offered, just the automatic coffee machine you see nowadays in all hotels (which I hate, so I deny to even try it anymore)
