Baymont South in Springfield
Nice facility and nice rooms for the price. Easy to get to off Route 65. Close to all sorts of restaurants and shopping. Recommended.

We had a good one night stay, the checkin staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean, one bed squeaked but comfortable enough. Breakfast was good.

Overall it was an ok stay. Check in was smooth. Our room was as expected, clean and had an fridge and microwave except the toilet was kind of loose and wobbly, the mattress near the window was very worn out soft lumpy with a crater in the middle. Breakfast was average, the first morning the lady working was clearly overwhelmed and the hot things were empty constantly, really could use a second waffle maker too. The pool was the reason we booked before my indoor and it was so cold it may as well have been an outside pool so that wasn’t enjoyable either. Rated an 8+/10 I expected better but it worked for our purposes but it was average at best.

Bed bug haven. Owner refuses to give money back when room is not used.
If there was a rating for zero stars, then I would put that. The pictures look fine until you arrive at the hotel. Expedia has a 24 hour cancellation policy, so you will not get your money back if you arrive here and find that your room has bedbug activity. My family checked in and checked quickly out of the hotel within 30 minutes. The hotel manager/Owner is Dana, and she will not respond to any of your comments, questions, or concerns. I took pictures to justify why my family left. Expedia, unfortunately cannot do anything because the hotel is refusing to give them the money back to reimburse our family. I called the Baymont company and they are refusing to get involved due to it being a franchise. If you want to waste your money on disgusting hotels, then go right ahead and book this hotel. This hotel has a policy that refuses to allow anyone within 40 mile radius of the hotel from being able to stay there without having to pay extra money. I have never been to a hotel that requires this, which gives me the impression there are either illegal activities going on here or unsafe actions around this hotel. Extremely disappointed that an owner would refuse to give money back when there is evidence of bedbug activity. Thank you, Baymont for subjecting my family to bedbugs and then refusing to return our money. They would rather force you to be in unsanitary conditions than provide you a safe and comfortable room to your family. Buyer beware.
Also gave my daughter a reaction on her elbow when she was on the floor. Staff reports they even get a rash when they use the chemical for the rooms.
