I loved the location, it was near many activities and there was a food truck festival right down the block. Also ran into two celebrities in the hallway! Awesome bonus!

Quite an experience

This is a fantastic hotel. Everything about it was perfect. beautifully decorated and very comfortable spaces. In the morning they serve a fabulous continental breakfast from local bakeries. I can’t wait to return when U of SC his back in a session. Undeniably superior to any other hotel around there.

The best hotel in the Columbia area!

Hotel Trundle is AMAZING! It’s one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited. The staff was wonderful, helpful and so pleasant to work with. I was there for my college graduation and they helped me celebrate and made the weekend amazing. The decor is beautiful and we loved hanging out in the lobby. The rooms were perfect, bed was amazing and plenty of space. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend for your next trip to Columbia!

A Nice Stay but No Security

We were in town for a memorial service and stayed over the weekend at Hotel Trundle. Its a hotel with an ecclectic vibe right in the heart of dowtown Columbia SC. Great location, comfortable lobby and friendly staff. A particular shout out to Jessica at the front desk. We saw her throughout our stay and she always greeted us with a warm, friendly smile.
We found the rooms to be clean and well appointed. The beds were actually extremely comfortable. Coffee is on the house in the mornings and they provide a continetal style breakfast as part of the hospitality.
Unfortunately, we were very disapointed over the $18 a night hotel parking charge. There is a small lot behind the hotel where it doesn't appear anyone is checking for hotel passes. We had to park across the street in the parking garage (neither location has security). The night we parked in the garage, we ran into what looked like a homeless man asleep (or passed out) in the garage stairwell. We also noticed random men who, for lack of a better term, looked down on their luck on the streets around the hotel (we later found out there is a mission 2 blocks away).
The Trundle is not a cheap stay. Providing security for after hours would make guests feel more comfortable and legitamize the $18 a day parking charge.

Very cool hotel with excellent, friendly service. The location is great for walking around downtown.
