Great stay at Feather Nest Inn

This was our second stay at Feather Nest Inn. We were here for 3 nights, with 2 in the Space Odyssey room and 1 in Treasure Island. Even though there is technically a 5-hour gap between check-in and check-out, Nicole made sure the room was available right away. The staff are honestly excellent. The rooms are cleaner than most other hotels I have ever been in, the beds are extremely comfortable, and you can't beat the decoration (or the hot tubs)! Everything is cozy and fun. I can't wait to come back and stay in all of the other themed rooms.

Really bad customer service

My husband booked this room for me for my birthday and the whole point was for the jacuzzi. Turns out the jacuzzi was not working and we spent almost the whole night calling to get some assistance, my husband also went there in person and the girl said she will be there in a few minutes to check, she never came and we called about 4 times she told us it was late and she was waiting for an answer from someone else. We started calling since around 9 no one never came till around 1:30 am we were ready to sleep a guy finally came and told us it was in fact broken. He said we would get some refund or some sort of compensation, he said he would make a report and we can discuss about it at check out. When we checked out a couple hours later, the girl at the desk said they will call us because the person in charge of that is not there. We never received that call, when we called back day later. They said there is nothing they could do. Also the room was supposed to come with champagne and it was not there, we had to go up to the front desk to get it later on. It was a really bad experience and there was no assistance to make it up to us. We just waste our money and time. We did not get the services we paid for. It was really frustrating and upsetting, they clearly did not care. We tried to be nice and understanding but we definitely did not get the same energy back. The girl at the desk was really rude. Please do not go to this place specially if it’s for a special occasion.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review and feedback. I regret that there was any issue, especially on such a special occasion. However, the room, including the whirlpool, was in working order when you rented the room. The owner/manager was present the day before when the technician finished resurfacing the whirlpool. As part of that process, they ran the whirlpool and it worked as expected. It seems that you depressed the air switch for the whirlpool so hard that the air switch button was pushed into the body of the whirlpool. We offered an upgrade to another room but you declined. Thereafter, the Front Desk tried to get someone to address the whirlpool issue. At that point the whirlpool could not be repaired that night. We do think there was more difficulty in addressing this issue than there should have been, and would like to discuss the matter with you; however, no one with your name comes up on our records. Therefore, please call us at 856-663-0411 to talk about what we can do now. Regards, The Manager

sweetest, most helpful staff

Nicole was such an amazing help & thanks to her, I got the perfect room I'd emailed before asking for the garden room with a blue heart shaped bath (not a fan of red lol) and when I arrived, there was a little confusion as to which room that was in. Nicole walked down to look in each garden room for me, and she found one with a PINK heart shaped tub! which was actually what I'd wanted originally, but couldn't find anywhere nearby with a pink heart tub! It was such a serendipitous surprise. Thank you again, Nicole!!

Human Trafficking and Horrific Owner

My friends and I had to spend the night BARRICADED in our rooms after someone tried to break into one of them. The absolute disregard from the front desk who said they would check the "cameras" prompted us to call the police, which the front desk had no recollection of it happening when we went to complain about it the next morning and request our money back. Our accounts of WITNESSING what I can only describe as human trafficking and non-guests coming by to jiggle door handles to see what if rooms were open, and then GOING INSIDE ROOMS THAT HAPPENED TO BE, went COMPLETELY DISREGARDED by the "manager" Nicole (who had the audacity to simply say "no" when I told her Feather Nest Inn seems to have a human trafficking problem without even asking WHY I thought that). The rooms had not been cleaned, open bottles of alcohol were strewn about, forehead prints and finger prints on the mirrors, LITERAL MOSQUITO LARVA IN THE "FOUNTAIN" BY THE BATHTUB (it's March btw, too cold for mosquitos outside which means that room had it's own fully sustained mosquito ecosystem contained inside) and black mold on the shower head. Stains EVERYWHERE, bodily fluids, blood, and the room itself looks nothing like the photos. We were offered another room, but before we could even accept, we were put in extreme danger and had a man we had seen going in and out of various rooms on the block, try to break into one of our rooms that we had been congregating in. No, he did not think he had the wrong room--we made eye contact with this slime as he was going in and out of other hotel rooms, and saw him exit the premise IN HIS CAR (meaning he was not a guest) when he overheard us calling the police through the door. Earlier as we were smoking outside, before the attempted break in, we saw a two cars pull up, a man walk into a room with the door ajar, come immediately back out and tell the other gentleman that "they are shutting down." He then left and a woman came stumbling out of the room he came from. When I asked her if she was alright, she responded she was and that she was and that if we were waiting "they have closed up for the night." Twenty minutes later was when the attempted break in happened. There is dangerous, seedy activity happening that the management is aware of and does not care about. There is more, but from the mouth of their own front desk agent, Stephanie, "no one is going to care." When I finally spoke to the owner, his feed was that because no one else reported the activity my three friends and I did, it could not have happened, and that "if we were so scared why didn't we leave" and “did we have video of it" (they told us THEY had surveillance so I'm not sure why I would need to put myself in danger by filming strangers engaging in illegal activity in order to prove it was happening). Three days later, my friends and I are still SICK from breathing in black mold, dust, dirt and dander all night.

Dear Guest, With respect, your claims are not accurate. They have been investigated and disproven by us and by law enforcement. Further, no matter how many places you and your friends post them (this makes number 6), how many new claims you/your friends add, or how many times you/your friends call, there is simply no basis for us to refund the numerous rooms you/your friends had.
Addressing your new claims, I found no “bodily fluids/blood” in these rooms. I cannot speak to the content of your conversation, but note that you say the other guest said she was “alright”. We asked if you had video because our footage simply does not support your claims.
Law enforcement not only agrees, but the official who came later and viewed it was so aggravated that you “wasted his time” that he said he would be calling you about it.
As for your repeated claims — our Desk Clerk told you/your friends he could not leave the Front Desk, but would check security footage and act if needed. You/your friend elected to hang up and call the police. Our clerk then called you/your friend back and told you/her - while you/her were on the phone with the police – that security footage showed only that another guest mistook your/your friend's room for his, knocked, left your/your friend’s door, and went to the correct room. When the police came, they talked to you/your friend, walked around, and left -- without deeming it necessary to even stop at the Front Desk or take any further action.
A guest leaving by car is not unusual or evidence that he was not a guest. Our footage shows nothing else but a normal, sold-out Friday night, with guests going into their respective rooms or out for the evening. Our doors cannot be opened by “jiggling door handles”, but require a computer-coded key which times out at the end of the guest's stay.
The Desk Clerk you spoke to the next morning had “no recollection” because she was not involved in the night before, but she knew the results of our investigation and declined to refund your stay. We regret that another guest knocked on the wrong door, but that does not justify a refund of the numerous rooms you/your friends used.
Again, I apologize if Housekeeping missed any trash or hand- or footprints, note that the mold had been rendered harmless and will be removed, and found no evidence of pests of any kind.
Finally, we stand by our Desk Clerk, who refutes what you claim she said. I do not appreciate the dispersions on her character which you have posted elsewhere, or on our owner which you post here. Regards, The Manager

Boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay for my birthday.

My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday here because we needed a romantic and relaxing weekend getaway. We selected a standard delux room and it was exactly what was pictured.
We were not disappointed with the room or the whirlpool tub. In fact, the whirlpool was everything we wanted and needed to make our stay memorable and relaxing. On the first night of our stay (my birthday) we even saw deer across from our room door.
I had a phenomenal time and will definitely be coming back to experience a suite or themed room.
My only complaints are there were no ashtrays in the room (I booked a smoking room) but that wasn’t a huge issue at all.

Steak 38 (4.5 stars) is right next door, and Amy’s Omelette House (200+ varieties) is a half-mile away, while Garden State Pavilions, Market Place, and Cherry Hill Mall (150+ stores, 30+ restaurants) are within 2 miles. Philadelphia is 5 miles away, and Atlantic City is within an hour, so there’s plenty to do, see and enjoy all around us.
