Ingenia Townsville

Time to get serious. You want a place with great staff, clean, spacious site, great amenities, good no further. This place was the absolute perfect site for a feet up and a bundy.
Giant chess set, great pools and water park even mini golf.

Park is quite far away from the city.
Pool area nice but not many sunbeds. Area a little boring. Unit very small for 4 people. Can’t sit up in the bunk bed. No room for suitcases etc unless you move the furniture around. It was okay for 2 nights. WiFi good.

A great stop-over point.

We stayed on Mon 27 May 2024, 1 night.
We only stayed one night, as we were travelling north.
The Park is conveniently located alongside the main highway.
There are two highways and a railway line passing by, but we did not have too much noise, thank goodness, so all OK.
The cabins are modest, but clean.
The Manager was helpful as to where to get meals in Townsville.
Townsville has a great esplanade to walk.
The Park is recommended.

Not good at all

This cabin was a big letdown after such a lovely one in Cairns - it gave the air of a very amateur handyman having tried to do some maintenance and it was very rough indeed. Brand new shower and a mirror which covered half the window which was strange. Lower bunk window boarded up, no locks on the windows, not well maintained at all. It looked like neither the main bed nor the bunks had been made properly, the valance not straightened on to the base, the bed pane wrinkled and unironed - not an attractive site. The front curtain across the door didn't fit and was hanging on one bracket and the blinds on the windows looked like they've been cut from a bigger one with fraying edges and wobbly on the hinges. This cabin was classed as 'deluxe ensuite' - didn't live up to its name. All in all, we would never recommend this park at all.

Nice place

Had a caravan site close to dump point and sewerage plant, could smell sewerage most of the time. The park was nearly empty so we could have been put further away. Other than that we like this park and have stayed many times. Large site plenty of room for annex and car. Clean and tidy grounds.
